Trip to Mizumoto park
This march we took Bon Bon to Mizumoto park. Early sakura was just starting to blossom.
Japanese plum (ume) looks very similar to sakura. And looks beautiful, too!
Bon Bon is checking out the river.
Taking a break under magnolia tree.
Bon Bon is a city dog, so he doesn't like to walk on the grass. He gets tired easily and needs much rest.
Time to go back home.
OK, one last photo. Maybe two...

Sakura viewing at night
Hanami at night is called yozakura ("night sakura").
Bon Bon is a big fan of yozakura ^_^
Zenpuku-ji one of the oldest Tokyo temples after Asakusa.

In daytime the last place looks better. It is called Zenpuku-ji and is situated in Azabu. Sometimes it is called Azabu-san. Here is the information about it in Japanese http://www.azabu-san.or.jp/

Midori sushi
Bon Bon is not too fond of sushi but I am. It's my favorite Japanese food after okonomiyaki.
So, we celebrated my birthday at Ginza branch of Midori sushi.
This sushi restaurant is usually crowded with local people. If you go there in the evening, you may end up listening drunk salary man's conversations at the next table. They may even try to shout something in English when they see you, conspicuous gaijin (foreigner) with fair hair.
But the food is really great here. Especially I like sushi with slightly baked fish (called grilled sushi), probably created especially for foreigners.
Traditional sushi is also delicious. But my portion was slightly bigger than I expected.

Sakurazaka in Roppongi hills
Sakura season has come. People gather in the parks to enjoy hanami (花見), literally "flower viewing". They look at the cherry blossoms, eat, drink and stay under the trees as long as possible. Our Chow Bon Bon is also a great fan of sakura.
Today's hanami place is Sakurazaka (Cherry blossom slope) in Roppongi hills.
