Bon Bon's trip to Kyoto. Part 2. Gion
Gion is Kyoto's famous geisha district. Bon Bon is eager to see one of them. We are following him...
No signs of geisha yet... Where did they hide?
I feel a little tired... Can I take a short nap?
This eel (unagi) restaurant looks good. Let's drop by!
No, I am not on a diet! I want to try some eel!
Well... OK, fish is not bad either
Mom, can I bite his flowers?
Finally, some geisha!
It was a long and tiring day. I should take a long rest...
Beautiful Kamo river

Children's day
On 5th of May we celebrated Children's day or Kodomo no hi. Actually, it is just called like that. In fact, it is a boys day, because the girls day is in March. We came to my nephew's home.
These festive dolls were given to my nephew's father by his father more than 40 years ago. But none of my family members actually knows what do this dolls represent...
Carps (koi) are the symbol of Kodomo no hi.
Makkuro Kurosuke from "My neighbor Totoro", made by my nephew.
Japanese strawberry shortcake is very delicious. It was huge!!!
Yes, I made quite a lot of photos of our tea ceremony. Recently tea ceremonies have become my hobby.

Bon Bon's trip to Kyoto. Part 1. Toji
Toji temple (literally "East Temple") is one of Kyoto's UNESCO world heritage sites. This is the famous five storied pagoda. Oh, and the weeping sakura was still blooming.
A nice pile of turtles. Do they resemble the pagoda?
I really love those turtles!
The territory of Toji temple is surrounded by this river.
Poor Bon Bon
On the way to Kyoto. Taking a stroll
