Bon Bon's trip to Hakone. Part 1. Beginning

This summer we take Bon Bon out very often. I barely have time to study Japanese. So my poor blog is feeling a bit lonely...

Shiokaze park at night

Shiokaze park is situated in Odaiba, near Tokyo bay. There are nice palm trees, rather dirty sea and a lighthouse.

Omotesando is an avenue with Zelkova trees, stretching from Meiji shrine to Aoyama-dori. But rather than the trees, it is famous for its fashion shops (Chanel, Dior, Luis Vuitton, Prada etc). There is also a lot of glamorous cafes and restaurants that gather long lines even on weekdays. Omotesando is sometimes called the Champs-Elysees of Tokyo.

Bon Bon at the firefly farm

This is the story of our visit to Yuyake Koyake firefly farm in Hachioji. June was the month of fireflies ("hotaru" in Japanese), so we definitely had to go.

As we came late, the only available parking lot was quite far away.

We had to take a photo of this red old bus!

Gradually got darker and darker...

We were disappointed because there were not so many fireflies as we expected. No more than five at the same time. Bon Bon was feeling very tired and we had to go back home.
