Let's bathe Chow Chow!

I've heard that many dogs like to swim but hate to bathe. For Bon Bon, bath time is not very pleasant thing either. He'd rather stay dirty all time.
Luckily, bathing once a month is enough for most dogs.
So, our Chow Chow gets only his paws and face washed on a daily basis.

And he gets into the cold water every day in summer, when its so hot.

Winter, Tokyo and Bon Bon

It's the middle of winter now. No snow in Tokyo, but this morning I could see a couple of frozen puddles.
Bon Bon likes winter because his fur coat is too warm. Cold weather is just perfect for him, so he is always delighted to see some snow...

Is he a toy?

These photos of Bon Bon were taken when he was 4. He looks like a fluffy toy lion.

When my hubby carries him on the street, some people ask "Is he real"?
Yeah, when Bon Bon gets tired, the only way to get him home is to give him a ride.
And, I have to admit, riding any kind of vehicle is Bon Bon's biggest hobby. His tail goes crazy when he is getting inside. Doesn't like anyone to take pictures of him though.

Who is Bon Bon?

Bon Bon is a big stubborn 10-year-old Chow Chow dog. He lives in Japan.
When Bon Bon was young, he was very cute. A lot of people stopped on the street to touch him or to take a photo of him.

Now he is just like my grandfather. He falls asleep soon after eating and snores too loudly. He likes to look out of the window but he gets too tired when he goes for a walk.

Sometimes I love him. Sometimes I hate him. That's our life with Bon Bon.
