Snowy Azabu-Juban 麻布十番

Last weekend Tokyo was covered with snow. It was so fun to make yukidaruma (snowman) ^_^
Our Chow Chow dog, Bon Bon, also enjoyed snowy weather. He was running around like a puppy, reluctant to go home.

By the way, Azabu-Juban (麻布十番) is home to famous pretty soldier Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン) and her author, manga artist Naoko Takeuchi. Almost all events depicted in manga and anime had happened here, in Azabu number 10. 

Setsubun, fukumame and snow

On the 3rd of February was Setsubun and Bon Bon ate fukumame (福豆), which means "fortune beans", together with us. Fukumame are supposed to bring good luck. Our Chow Chow ate ten fukumame because he turned 10 last year.
So the next day spring should have started but actually it didn't.
After +18 degrees Celsius yesterday it was snowing in Tokyo today. The temperature dropped to + 1. It' cold! 寒い よ！

Looks quite fat. Definitely he should lose a few kilos!

Winter, Tokyo and Bon Bon

It's the middle of winter now. No snow in Tokyo, but this morning I could see a couple of frozen puddles.
Bon Bon likes winter because his fur coat is too warm. Cold weather is just perfect for him, so he is always delighted to see some snow...
