This toy lion is our Chow Chow's little friend. He takes care of him like a real older brother.

Bon Bon's cat day

Yesterday, on February 22nd, we celebrated cat day (neko no hi) in Japan and Bon Bon met this cute black cat.

It is so funny that cats in Japan don't say "meow meow", thay say "nyan nyan" < ^.^ >

Bon Bon and Tokyo Tower

Last weekend we took our Chow Chow to see Tokyo Tower.

Recently all of us watched three parts of Always Sanchome no Yuhi (Always sunset on third street) about the time when Tokyo Tower was under construction. It is based on the popular manga series by Ryohei Saigan. Wonderful and very warm athmospere inspired us to make a photo of Bon-san and Tokyo Tower.

While I was taking a photo, Bon Bon fell down from the concrete wall without any sound. Just like a big fluffy toy dog ^_^
By the way, in 2013 Tokyo Tower celebrated its 55th anniversary.

Valentine latte at Segafredo Zanetti

Check out the Valentine latte at Segafredo Zanetti coffee shop in Hiroo. Our Chow dog Bon Bon already did.

And cappucino froth has a nice heart. Kawaii ne ^_^

We usually visit Segagfredo Zanetti on weekends. Bon Bon likes to take a walk in Arisugawa park nearby. And the third famous spot nearby is National Azabu supermarket.

Snowy Azabu-Juban 麻布十番

Last weekend Tokyo was covered with snow. It was so fun to make yukidaruma (snowman) ^_^
Our Chow Chow dog, Bon Bon, also enjoyed snowy weather. He was running around like a puppy, reluctant to go home.

By the way, Azabu-Juban (麻布十番) is home to famous pretty soldier Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン) and her author, manga artist Naoko Takeuchi. Almost all events depicted in manga and anime had happened here, in Azabu number 10. 

Bon Bon's hobby is sleeping. Part 1

Our Chow Chow dog Bon Bon can sleep anywhere and anytime. Sleeping is his hobby.

Setsubun, fukumame and snow

On the 3rd of February was Setsubun and Bon Bon ate fukumame (福豆), which means "fortune beans", together with us. Fukumame are supposed to bring good luck. Our Chow Chow ate ten fukumame because he turned 10 last year.
So the next day spring should have started but actually it didn't.
After +18 degrees Celsius yesterday it was snowing in Tokyo today. The temperature dropped to + 1. It' cold! 寒い よ！

Looks quite fat. Definitely he should lose a few kilos!

Bon Bon's first Christmas

Our Chow Chow Bon Bon celebrated his first Christmas when he was 2 months old, so he slept or played all the time. He didn't eat any Christmas cake but was very interested in fresh cream. Maybe Bon Bon mistook it for his mother's milk.

Uniqlo (ユ二クロ) ear warmers for Chow Chow

It's neither Zara nor Gap that our Chow Chow dog wears when his ears are cold. Actually, I adore this brands, but Bon Bon prefers Uniqlo (in Japan - ユ二クロ, reads Uniquro).

To be honest, we share this really great ear warmer but the matching faux fur Uniqlo muffler is too small for Chow Chow of his age. So Bon Bon has to wear non-branded gray scarf instead.
